Looking east along George Street This view looks to the east along George Street from the gardens in the centre of St Andrew Square, currently occupied by the tents and campers supporting the 'Occupy Edinburgh' campaign. Christmas decorations can be seen strung across George Street and on The Dome and Le Monde buildings on the left, on the south side of George Street. |

Statues and Buildings There are several statues in the centre of George Street. The most recently erected statue is to James Clark Maxwell, seen in the centre of this photo, sited outside the entrance to Standard Life Investments' offices at 1 George Street:
