Location

No 35 Inverleith Terrace is on the corner of Inverleith Terrace and Arboretum Avenue.

Inverleith Terrace runs from the house towards Canonmills.

Arboretum Avenue runs from the house towards Stockbridge.

Around 1968

The photograph above was taken around 1968.  Some snow can be seen at the edge of the road and in the garden of No 35.

This view looks up Arboretum Avenue from the SW, towards the house with its fire escape visible on the SW corner of the house.

The photo was taken from  the bend in Arboretum Avenue at a point close to the Water of Leith and The Colonies housing on the far bank of the Water of Leith.

Around 1900

Here is an earlier view of the house.  The photo was taken looking at the house from the NW, probably around 1900, soon after the house was built.
