It runs along the southern edge of Edinburgh's Royal Botanic Gardens.

35 Inverleith Terrace

This photo was taken following a fall of snow in December 2009, looking to the east across Arboretum Avenue to No 35, Inverleith Terrace.

The road leading straight ahead in the lower left corner is Inverleith Terrace.  The Royal Botanic Garden lies on the north side of Inverleith Terrace.

None of the trees in this photo had been planted when the photo below was taken, about a century earlier:
