Lauriston Place

On the corner of Middle Meadow Walk
and Lauriston Place

This photo was taken from Lauriston Place, looking SE towards the northern end of Middle Meadow Walk.

The closest box is on Lauriston Place and  is one of the original Edinburgh Police Boxes, still in place but not used  by the  Police for many years.  It is made of heavy metal.  The snack bar in the background is mounted on  a trailer. 

Reproduction Police Box

Usually, the box in the background has been a reproduction Police Box made of wood and mounted on a trailer.

But when the photo at the top of this page was taken in March 2009, it was a different, more streamlined snack bar in this position.
