By the time that this photo was taken, in March 2006, most of the houses in Niddrie Mains Drive had been demolished. There were still houses standing, many now unoccupied in some of the surrounding streets on the south side of Niddrie Mains Drive. This view looks to the NW towards the old building, with Arthur's Seat in Holyrood Park hidden behind it. The sky was beginning to brighten again as this photo was taken, following the mist and rain that had passed over a few minutes earlier. |
