Looking along Princes Street This view looks to the SE from the junction of Princes Street and South St David Street towards Waverley Bridge. In the background are part of the Balmoral Hotel, Holyrood Park and buildings in Edinburgh Old Town. The main subjects of the picture are the Helter Skelter and the Wave Swinger fairground ride, both in East Princes Street Gardens, close to the Scott Monument. For the Christmas and New Year festivities, 2011, Princes Street has become pedestrianised between Waverley Bridge and South Charlotte Street. |
