Thank you to Ian Laidlaw for identifying the location of this photo.  Ian wrote:

"This Photo is was taken at  Marine Drive,  Silverknowes, Edinburgh.

At the bottom right, just out of view, is the old Commodore hotel  -  now a backpackers' hostel.

The car turning left is going up the (now) golf course to Silverknowes House."

The Forth Bridge can just be seen in the background on the skyline at the left of this picture.  It is about six miles to the west of Silverknowes.
