Edinburgh Today Meadows Festival Not to be held in 2006 |

2006 The Meadows Festival has been held annually since 1975. It normally includes sporting events, stalls and live music. However, due to escalating costs of staging this event the organisers have decided not to hold the event in 2006. Costs have now reached £20,000pa, including public liability insurance premiums that have increased from £200pa to £3,750pa over the last five years 2007 Local Community Groups have pledged that they will attempt to revive the event for 2007.
