Festival - Dance - Carnival
Following the success of the Portobello Golden Days Festival in June
2003, a newly formed community group, Portobello Open Door (POD), has been
set up to bring more entertainment to Portobello in August 2003.
Whilst Edinburgh hosts its Festival and Fringe Festival, Portobello
plans to host a week-long entertainment, including a Festival of the
Spoken Word, a Multicultural Dance Festival, a ceilidh, a concert, a
charity auction and a carnival.
