The one ton Trojan van was popular in the 1950s, often
with advertising slogans carried on their sides. These examples
carry the City of Edinburgh Coat of Arms.
The photograph above was probably taken around the
1950s, along with a photograph of the Corporation's
Morris Minors, at the same location.
Today it's the Dinky Toy models of the old Trojan vans that
are likely to be of more interest to collectors, and possibly worth more
than the full size vans.
