This photo comes from the collection of Janet Beale, 3rd great-niece of Justine Henrietta Frederique Macrae, the wife of Horatio Ross. Andrew confirms that this photo was set up in 1855-57 by the sportsman, photographer and politician Horatio Ross (1801-86).
