Volume
numbers are something of a mystery. Initially there are
several years without volume nos, then a few years numbered vol ii and vol
iii.
Then volume numbers
increased by 1 each year. Usually
volume numbers changed at the start of each session (e.g.
October), but in some years they changed in January.
