Background

I have investigated which countries have not yet visited the EdinPhoto web site.  I have used the Wikipedia Answers web site to find a complete list of countries.

March 2005

There have been visits from 212 out of 246 countries.

The 34 countries still to visit EdinPhoto are:

Changes Made to the Stats

as a result of the investigations above

Country Code Suffixes

Many web sites that provide lists of the two letter suffixes used by different countries.  These can be found by searching for the phrase "country code extensions" in Google.

However I  found this  page from Wikipedia Answers to be particularly useful in helping me to check which countries the visitors to EdinPhoto have (and have not) come from.

 The Wikipedia site provides:

-  background based on the ISO 3166 standard.

-  country code extensions currently in use

-  country code extensions reserved for possible future use

-  country code extensions no longer in use

-  links to background information on the countries above.

After reading the Wikipedia site, I have made the following changes to the stats on my site:

Removed from Stats

Suffixes are for possible future use

These are country codes reserved for possible future use, or to prevent others using them.  They are not currently in use.

I have now removed these countries from my stats, so they will no longer appear on the list of "No visitors yet from ..."

Removed from  Stats

Suffixes for this country is no longer in use

For several countries, there are country codes that have been used in the past but are are no longer active. This is the only one that I still had in my stats.  I have now removed it.   i.e. It will no longer appear on the list of "No visitors yet from ..."

UPDATE:  I have added back 'Anguilla' after receiving reports of visitors from there in January 2007.

These may never have had suffixes

These countries DO NOT appear to have 'Country Code Suffixes' so I have removed them from my stats.

They will no longer appear on the list of "No visitors yet from ..."

Added to Stats

These countries have 'Country Code Suffixes' that I was not previously aware of.  I have added them to my stats.  So until somebody visits from these countries, they will appear in the list of "No visitors yet from ..."
