The Ferry

In 2005, 'Maid of the Forth' sailed from South Queensferry to Inchcolm regularly between March 25 and October 30, with two sailings a day throughout most of July and August.

The photograph above shows the final sailing of 2005 , shortly after leaving Hawes Pier at South Queensferry at 2pm on a fine afternoon, Sunday October 30.

For sailing times, see the web site address painted on the side of the ferry.

The Bridge

The extent of the work currently being carried out on the Forth Bridge can be seen in this picture.  Much of the bridge is currently covered in scaffolding.  It is now about mid-way through a 7-year painting program.  When the painting is completed it is hoped that it will last for at least 20 years.
