Ferries from South Queensferry
The car ferry service
linking South Queensferry and North Queensferry stopped operating in
1964 when the Forth Road Bridge opened.
However, in recent years
a passenger ferry 'Maid of the Forth' has operated regular
sailing from South Queensferry to the island of Inchcolm in the
Firth of Forth, near Aberdour.
There are seals,
sometimes dolphins and a variety of seabirds including puffins,
cormorants, eiders, fulmars and gannets at Inchcolm. The
island also has a Medieval Abbey. |
