Here is an attractive view of street life near the centre of Corstorphine in the early 20th century. Corstorphine was a village to the west of Edinburgh, but is now one of the suburbs of Edinburgh, lying beside the Edinburgh-Glasgow road. This card by Valentine is not numbered, so the date of the photograph is not known, but the card was sent through the post on 28 March 1908. |
