Leith Walk

This view looks down Leith Walk towards the 'Fit o' the Walk'

There are no cars to be seen in the street - just:

-  a large group of children

-  a tramcar

-  a cycle

-  a horse and cart.

The number given to this photo by Valentine & Sons indicates that the original photo would have been taken in 1902.

The moon has been added to the photo later.  It would never appear as a full moon in that position to the sky (looking to the NNE down Leith Walk).  Valentines added moons and 'night time effects' to many of their postcards.  They published a collection of photos titled 'Moonlight Series'.
