This prefab bungalow at 36
Craigour
Avenue has had new windows and door fitted, but appears to have retained
the original canopy over the door at the side of the bungalow.
This is one of about three
thousand prefab bungalows that were erected in Edinburgh in the 1940s, to
cope with the housing shortage following World War II. Most
have now vanished, but several still remain in the Moredun / Craigour
district of Edinburgh. |
