Thank you to Eric Gold who wrote:

"I can still see my aunt's wee hoose in this photo as it is millimetres away from the crags as the shot was taken.

I'm sure that part of the crags, where the camera took the photo, was  called the Cat's Nick (or Cat Nick).   I used to climb it when I was a kid in East Arthur Place."
