Approaching Holyrood Park

Looking East

This view looks towards the western entrance into Holyrood Park at St Leonard's, from Holyrood Park Road.  This photo was taken from a point close to the Scottish Widows' Building and the Royal Commonwealth Pool.

There is a small railing with two lamp posts on either side of the road at this point.  The railing on the left can be seen in the photograph above.

This photograph was taken on January 3, 2008, the first day that snow fell in Edinburgh during the winter of 2007-08.

Looking West

This view looks in the opposite direction, through the St Leonard's entrance out of  Holyrood Park and into Holyrood Park Road.  The pillar box can just be seen, centre-right.
