'The World'

The Ship

'The World' is a luxury cruise liner, with 110 owner-occupied residences.  It was launched in 2002 and sails around the world, stopping in most ports for between two and five days.  The photograph above was taken on the ship's first visit to Edinburgh.

More information about the ship can be found on 'The World' wikipedia web site.

This BBC web site page refers to the route being taken by 'The World'.  The ship sailed into Leith Harbour, Edinburgh from Newcastle, then sailed on to the Norwegian fjords.
