Granton Harbour was once a thriving
harbour with its own railway station, a ferry to Burntisland and
many commercial and fishing boats. The remains of some of the old
railway lines can be seen in this photo.
More recently the harbour has been uses
mainly by yachts and dinghies.
The northern end of Middle Pier, with its
derelict buildings, seen in this picture, is no longer accessible
to the public.
I expect this scene will change dramatically over the next few
years. |
