This is one of three gas holders that stood on the Scottish Gas site at the Waterfront. - The first gas holder was dismantled in 2003. (I believe that was gas holder in 1. above) - It is planned to demolish the second in a controlled explosion around August 2004. - The third is a listed structure, and so is protected. It is to remain on the site. This is the central gas holder which has an open metal lattice framework. See picture 2 above |
