Here is a view taken looking to the west beside West Shore Road, in heavy rain at noon on 3 July 2004. Most of the elements in this picture are likely to change over the next few years. ON THE LEFT: are huts in the Forest Craft yard. Behind them is one of the gasometers of Granton Gas Works, now [Oct 04] demolished. IN THE CENTRE: is a row of three large vehicles belonging to Afforda Vac. ON THE LEFT: is West Shore Road leading along the Firth of Forth past the small Premix Concrete works. |
