Route 17 with Large Advert

Here, four Lothian buses in 'madder + white' livery head to the east along Princes Street and one heads to the west.  The nearest bus has an advertisement for a Billy Connolly DVD, due out four days after the photo was taken.

The photograph was taken in Princes Street, approaching the junction with Hanover Street.  From left to right in the background are:

-   The National Monument, Calton Hill

-   Nelson Monument, Calton Hill

-   Balmoral Hotel (formerly the North British Hotel), Princes Street

-   Scott Monument, Princes Street
