This photograph is of Saltoun station on the Gifford Branch in East Lothian.
This photo was taken just prior to the railway groupings in 1923 that formed the Southern, GWR, LNER and LMS railways.
The 0-4-0 tank engine, No.1467, is at the head of a train heading for Edinburgh Waverley station.
