Cowgate

This view looks to the east along Cowgate, towards Holyrood.

The street varied in width between ten and twenty feet.

This is one of two engravings featuring Cowgate in Modern Athens.  The other shows Cowgate, further west, as it passes under the newly-built South Bridge.
