Edinburgh Festival
Cavalcade processes over Waverley Bridge (in the view above) then
along Princes Street) at the start of the Edinburgh Festival.
The 2003 Cavalcade took about 90 minutes to pass in front of the
the large crowds in Princes Street.
The view above looks down to the north to Waverley Bridge.
Straight ahead, hidden by the crowds is Cockburn Street, leading
up the hill to the Royal Mile. At the foot of Cockburn
Street:
- Market Street leads to the left past the
City Art Centre
- Bank Street leads to the right, up the
hill, past the Bank of Scotland Head Office.
The entrance to Waverley Railway Station, also hidden by the
crowds, is in the lower left hand corner of this view. |
