This is the style of Medal that was issued in the 1910s and 1920s.  The example above was awarded in the Lantern Slide Exhibition of the Members' Exhibition in 1916.

1914

Here is a similar medal that was awarded to J Russel for his autochrome image, exhibited in the EPS Members' Exhibition, 1914.

Above are the front and back of a Medal issued in the 1990s, made from old dies.  These Medals were awarded to the Winners in the Monthly Print and Slide competitions each year.

The Medals are the same size as those issued by the Photographic Society of Scotland 140 years earlier.
