Transactions of the Edinburgh Photographic Society reported:

".... [There were] about a hundred scenes, contributed by Members, were thrown on the Screen.

...Mr Bashford ... occupied the platform, and in a few words described each scene as it appeared."

These included:

- Robert Murray: a fine series of Egyptian views

- William Crooke: a beautiful transparency from a portrait negative of the President

- Mr Paton, Greenock: pretty rural views - land and water

- Mr McKean: views of various localities, chiefly St Andrews and Roslin

- Charles Fraser: a genre subject "Baking Day"

- Mr Macbeth: views of Saltcoats

- Mr Irvin: landscape and figure subjects

- Fred Moffat: animals

- James Crighton: figure subjects and sea-pieces

- AB Stewart: "The Hermitage of Braid"

- Mr Inglis: representation of the Wallace Statue for Aberdeen and several local views

- James McGhie: gelatino-bromide transparencies, interesting for their historic associations

- Mr Briglmen: several gelatino chloride
