The Bass Rock
Here is a postcard of the Bass Rock in the Firth of Forth
off North Berwick, by Reginald Phillimore.
Reginald Philimore painted many views of this rock,
which he could see from his studio in North Berwick. |
The Bass Rock
In this postcard, aircraft and an airship are
overhead, with battleships in the background. There were two
airfields within four miles of North Berwick at the time of the First
World War:
- East Fortune - now a Museum of Flight,
part of the Royal Scottish Museum
- Drem
