Lennie
sold stereo cards from their shop in Princes Street. The cards were
produced by a variety of photographers. These photographers were not
normally named on the cards.
I have the following stereo views by Lennie in my
collection, each bearing a blind stamp that reads:
'Lennie, 46 Princes Street, Edinburgh'.
So far, I have only found the time to add the first
two of these to the EdinPhoto web site.

Title: Saint
Bernard's Well, Edinburgh
Description: Is
situated on the banks of the Water of Leith, and has long been
distinguished for the medicinal virtues of its waters, which are of
the sulphureous kind.
The qualities of this spring falling under the
notice of the late Lord Gardenstone, he purchased the property of the
well, and erected a beautiful edifice over it. This temple
consists of a temple of columns which are surmounted by a neat dome,
in the middle of which is a statue to Hygeia, the goddess of health. |
