St Giles' Cathedral

The High Street

St Giles Church is situated  in the High Street opposite the City Chambers.  The High Street is part of Edinburgh's Royal Mile.

It is described on this stereo card and is often referred to as St Giles' Cathedral, though it only held this status for a few years.

In this view clock faces can be seen on the church steeple.  These have since been removed, though the clock's chiming mechanism is still operating.
