View from the Camera Obscura

This view looks towards Edinburgh Castle across a busy scene on the Castle Esplanade.  This is taken from a colour print, but converted to sepia to give it a 'period feel'  -  though the photograph was taken in May 2004.

The building on the left is Cannonball House, at the top of Castlehill, and at the top of steps leading down to Johnston Terrace.

The building at the extreme right is Ramsay Garden, which looks down (out of the picture to the right) on West Princes Street Gardens.
