The Queensferry Passage

Thank you to Frank Hay, a member of Queensferry History Group for allowing me to reproduce a postcard showing the ferry 'Woolwich'.

'Woolwich'

"I noticed that on the Queensferry Passage page, you have images of all the ferries since 1861, except for 'Woolwich'.

Here is a postcard, published by JM & Co in their Caledonia Series, showing 'Woolwich'.  It was posted in 1914.

That's an interesting little boat beside her.   It looks like navy personnel."

Thank you Frank.

Almost all the postcards that I have seen of the ferries on the Queensferry Passage have been taken at Hawes Pier, beside the Forth Bridge at Queensferry on the south side of the Forth, so it was interesting to see this one taken at North Queensferry.

I also like the old car on the pier.
