Sir William Wallace

Thank you to Derek Freeman for allowing me to reproduce this photograph of the ferry 'Sir William Wallace', one of the last ferries to operate on the Queensferry Passage between North and South Queensferry in the years leading up to the opening of the Forth Road Bridge and the closing of the ferry route in 1964.

This is the first photo that I have received of this ferry.

"I took this photograph in the late-1950s.  The camera used was a Kodak Box Brownie and the ferryboat was the Sir William Wallace."
