Seafield Paint Shop

Thank you to John Dickson, who used to work in the paintshop at Seafield, for allowing me to reproduce this photo taken in the paintshop.  This photo was taken before Lothian Region Transport was created in 1986, in the days when buses still carried the Edinburgh crest..

More Photos

The photo at the top of this page is one of several photos of No.522 being repainted at Seafield Paintshop.  All were taken in the early/mid-1980s.

John tells me that the painters used to give the buses a coat of varnish after the paint had been applied, but this is no longer done.

Here are four of John's photos of No.522 at Seafield.
