Weekend - 17 August 2013 |
Museum
I saw the restored
horse tramcar above for the first time when I visited The Scottish Vintage Bus
Museum, at Lathalmond, Fife during thier Open Weekend, on
August 17, 2013.

The first photo below
gives a brief summary of the discovery and restoration of the
tram. This summary was written on completion of the
restoration in 2012.
Enthusiasts
I was please to meet
two tram enthusiasts, standing beside the tram at the museum on 17 August.
Both had been
heavily involved in restoration of Horse Tram No.23.
They were:
- Alan Brotchie, author of several books on buses, trams
and other transport around Scotland. Alan sent me these
4 photos of the tram taken on completion of its restoration in
2012. They were taken at The Scottish Vintage Bus Museum
at Lathalmond.
- Neil MacKenzie, former General Manager of LRT (Lothian
Region Transport - which has now become Lothian Buses).
I first met Neil several years ago when I was working on
my personal photographic project,
'Edinburgh at Work'.
The next time I met him was at Lothian Buses' Central Garage
at Annandale Street,
Edinburgh, when he was helping to restore the double decker cable
tram No.22 .
