Tram Ticket
and
Sticker
This was my
tram ticket
from the tram testing
Exercise Salvador. It measured 4.6cm x 5.5cm.
The trams are now
scheduled to go live in May 2014, several years behind the
original schedule.
Whoever was responsible for this ticket seems to not
realise that we've now reached 2014!.
This was the
sticker
that I was given to wear.
For the 11am journeys:
- those with yellow stickers travelled towards
Haymarket then to the Airport and back.
- those with orange stickers travelled to the Airport,
then towards Haymarket and back. |

Tram Workers
There were lots of tram workers watching
the testing of the trams during
Exercise Salvador.
Here are some of them standing beside
Murrayfield Tram Stop, with no trams in sight! |

View from the back of the tram
This photo was taken through the back
window of the tram, on its way from Edinburgh Airport to Murrayfield, as
the tram approached Edinburgh Park tram stop.
This view looks back down the line
towards the ramp that carries the tram tracks over the Edinburgh-Glasgow
railway line immediately to the west of Edinburgh Park Railway Station. |

Testing the Trams
"The photos above were all taken on 13 March
2014, during Exercise Salvador, an exercise in which 1,000 members
of the public were invited to test Edinburgh's new trams, a couple of months
before their launch.
The tram bosses were particularly keen to test
the trams' ability to cope with 60,000 fans expected to attend the 'One
Direction' concert at Murrayfield Stadium on 3 June 2014, shortly after the
tram system goes live."
