St Leonard's Hill and St Leonard's Lane

This tenement, built in 1890, stands on the corner of St Leonard's Hill and St Leonard's Lane.

The road to the left is St Leonard's Hill, leading to the SW in the direction of Dumbiedykes and the centre of Edinburgh.

The maroon building half-way down St Leonard's Hill is the public house, Jeanie Dean's Tryste.

The road to the right is St Leonard' Lane, leading to the NE towards Holyrood Park.  Here is the sign that appears on the wall of the tenement in St Leonard's Lane
