Leith Shore

Thomas Vernon Begbie  -  late 1850s

Leith Shore

The Shore at Leith was the landing place for King George IV in 1822.

About twenty years later, Queen Victoria landed at the newly constructed Granton Harbour.

The Shore at Leith and surrounding area saw a lot of redevelopment in the 1990s.  New housing has been built, and the area has become a popular location for wining and dining.
