Eastman Co - Flat Folding Kodak camera Recommended for Cyclists © Reproduced by courtesy of Edinburgh Photographic Society |
Comments from The illustration above appeared in the journal: 'The Practical Photographer', May 1895, together with an illustration for Beresford's Patent Focusser. The journal commented: "Another product of the Eastman Co. The size when closed is only 3 1/2 x 6 1/2 x 8 1/2 and the weight including film for 48 exposures 3 lbs 4 ozs." The camera is recommended for cyclists as it can with ease be carried on any make of machine, either resting on the handle bar or suspended from the framework. It takes pictures 5 x 4, has rack and pinion focusing and a speed shutter." [The Practical Photographer, March 1895, p.154] |
