Comments from The illustration above, showing the Sanderson Swing Front camera in two different positions, appeared in the journal: 'The Practical Photographer', May 1895. The journal commented: "This is a new principle applied to normal bellows cameras, and it admits of extending the camera to its full length by a very simple motion. It also enables the front to be moved up and down to almost any position." All this can be accomplished with the head under the focusing cloth without the necessity of walking round to the front of the camera. The illustrations explain its action. The focussing rack is dispensed with altogether." [The Practical Photographer, March 1895, p.281] |
