Above is one of 23 advertisements that covered the back of  an Edinburgh Corporation Transport maps published around 1932.

The photograph was taken by EO Catford, who worked for the transport dept and took many transport photos, both on the road and behind the scenes.

This view is taken inside Holyrood Park, also known as Queen's Park (or King's Park as it was then) looking towards Salisbury Crags.  Below is an advertisement for tours around Arthur's Seat in Holyrood Park.
