Annual Dinners have
been a feature of the EPS Social calendar for long periods throughout
the society's history. On many occasions, both in the 19th and
20th century, the guests of honour have been the judges for the Open
Photographic Exhibition.
The Dinners at the
start of the 20th century were on a grand scale. The 1902 Dinner
had seven courses with toasts and songs between the courses.
Several of Edinburgh's
professional photographers, Thomas Haddow,
WB Mitchell, James Patrick and Frank Pelham Moffat all played their part
in the evening's entertainment.
