Up
in the Morning Early
Photographers
whose thoughts incline
To
landscape when the weather’s fine
Must
rise if they intend to shine
Up
in the morning early
Rise
with the birds and hurry out
To
greet the morning with a shout
Then
look attentively about
Up
in the morning early
When
sunlight floods the grassy glade
And
dewdrops glint on every blade,
There’s
poetry in light and shade
Up
in the morning early
With
atmosphere its very best,
Receding
planes and all the rest
There’s
mystery, there’s interest,
Up
in the morning early
Be
sure that what I say is true
I
had it from a man who knew
Myself,
I’m never quite (are you?)
Up
in the morning early.
