Mr Walker set up in business as a photographer in Hawick, in the Scottish Borders in July 1866. He was in business 1866-67, and employed: - C Collie as Manager - J B College who would be in Jedburgh four days a week (and in Hawick at other times?). Guisbro Thank you to Ron Cosens for showing me a carte de visite from JB Cartlidge, Guisbro. Guisbro (or Guisborough) is in North Yorkshire. I don't know when J B Cartlidge was based there. Edinburgh I have not found JB Cartlidge listed as a photographer in any of the Trade Directories, but I have seen the advert below on the back of one of his cartes de visite.

sometimes Some of his cartes de visite gave the studio name: Edinburgh Photographic Gallery which was based at 1 Hanover St, 1866-69. I believe that his Edinburgh cartes de visite may have been produced around 1870. |

Jedburgh, 1860 Richard b. Birmingham 1865 (who became a well known rhubarb grower) [name?] b. Jedburgh, 1860 [at least two others] b. Leeds and where? |
