Here is a view from inside the brick and stone yard was at the corner of West Harbour Road and Chestnut Street.  The lighthouse on West Harbour Road can be seen in the background.

This yard was cleared around June 2004.  The company has now moved to a new location at Broxburn, West Lothian.

The old railway line that ran beside West Harbour Road can still be seen crossing Chestnut Street.  This section of the railway has not been used for many decades.

The brick and stone yard left the area around June 2004, moving to Broxburn in West Lothian.  The sign on the fence reads:

The lighthouse in West Harbour Road was used for storing and testing lighthouse equipment until around 2002, but is now no longer used by the Northern Lighthouse Board.  The Northern Lighthouse Board now uses premises in Leith.

The runners in the 2003 Edinburgh Marathon can be seen running along the same stretch of road, past the lighthouse and stone yard.

West Harbour Road was also part of the route of the 2004 Edinburgh Marathon, but this time with the entrants running from west to east past the lighthouse.
