One of the houses facing St Margaret's
Church in your photo, I think, could have been a shop a long time
ago.
The house with the paintwork frontage,
I'm sure, is where the Whiteheads lived I remember George
Whitehead.
There was a grocer's shop a couple of
doors along, then Salteri's where you could buy sweets off the penny
tray, etc.
