Calum Colvin

Calum Colvin OBE is a Scottish sculptor, painter and fine art photographer.  He is Professor of Fine Art Photography at the University of Dundee.

The Exhibition

Calvin's exhibition is of 3-D images, inspired by the work of Sir David Brewster (1781-1868), first President of the Photographic Society of Scotland, who did some early work in the stereoscope and kaleidoscope.

Some of the images in Calvin's exhibition are viewed through red / green 'cardboard glasses'.  Others are viewed by looking through two mirrors mounted at 90 degrees to each other, simultaneously.  Move up close to the mirrors to view the images.

I found these 3-D images to be interesting and was impressed by how they had been created.
